He Meets.

After missing her by that table, even though she sat right before me, with the din of the bar around us, it all became silent, and her words, rung - rung like a bell in the dark. And it was then I realised that I have completed a cycle - looking at those button-like, full, beautiful eyes that once was mine.

A man meets three kinds of women in his life; the one he loved, but never could attain; the one he loved, but was never truly loved back by; the One he could have loved, but never really loved till it was too late. I've seen them all now. I've seen them all.

  1. The ones that 'loved' him, never truly did love. And as I told you, no one really wants a grump :)

A missed opportunity does not always remain that way. Sometimes it is part of the path that we have to take to get to the place that allows for complete fulfillment of the dream.

  5. Jack: Thank you for your visit - it's appreciated. I hope what you say is true, I truly do.

Neha: If you had played the role of those women - I hope you weren't too hard on those men's hearts :)

Raaji: Am I to meet a 4th then, dear Raaji? :)

  6. I hope what you say is true, I truly do.

I have some experience in this area. Much depends on what the two people in question are willing to do.

  7. You will have love, dear Shan (or dear poet!), you just wait and see. I know empirically that shared love exists, and it is true, ecstatic, sweet, painful, mundane and surprising and the same time! Love is like any other thing, you have to want it and to recognize it when it comes, but you also have to fight for it and keep it alive and fresh. 4 years in a relationship, 1 and a half married, and love is still a mystery to me. An everyday mystery. Oh, and remember - love has many faces! I love you, and I am sure many people do too! Just don't get caught in this love thing - I suspect that it's pretty impossible not to (love being the primary energy source for inspiration and even life) but give yourself a break. Take it easy! Hugs!

  8. Jack: You are right - it does depend of the people. After a while, however, it matters no more.

Bobby: You never fail to be the sweetheart that you are :) *hugs* - and I do miss you. Our Apostrophe date is due soon. And then, we can sit and talk about this :)
